Job Description :
Shaner now has an opportunity for a Banquet Chef to join ourteam at our one-of-a-kind Autograph Collection Playa Largo Resort & Spa onKey Largo, Florida!
The Banquet Chef is responsible for the day to dayoperations of all banquet operations, assists and oversees (if needed) in anyoutlet operations. The Banquet Chef will assist in creating the menus for thevarious functions and events on the property, ordering and maintaining theinventory (rotated to keep freshness), & keeping all standards in placeaccording to Shaner and Playa Largo standards of excellence.
Our restaurants, Sol By The Sea, Steakhouse and Los OlasCeviche Bar , serve exceptional food for every formality. With restaurants openfor breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as poolside service, and 24 hourin-room dining, our staff provides high quality food and drink in a casual,scenic atmosphere. We expect our Associates to provide warm, friendly servicewith a genuine smile and pleasant attitude. We look for staff who are willingto learn and who seek opportunities to grow. The Culinary Department teammembers plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of foodproduction for menu items and specials in the designated outlets in accordancewith standards and plating guide specifications. They maintain organization,cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
Food safety certification preferred but notrequired.
Work shifts and hours vary, weekend and holidayhours required.
Minimum three to five years of relatedexperience; High school diploma required.
Knowledge of culinary departments, basicaccounting.
Creative, innovative and assertive personality.
Excellent communication skills (both oral andwritten).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in afast-paced environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
